The URSA Mini Pro 12K is Blackmagic's flagship large-format cinema camera, shooting a genuine 12,288 x 6,480 pixels (80 megapixels per frame) on a Super 35mm sensor with 14 stops of dynamic range. For productions that need maximum reframing latitude, high-end VFX plate capture, or the option to output in 12K, 8K, 6K or 4K from the same original — all with Blackmagic RAW's efficient, constant-bitrate compression — it's a serious step up from typical broadcast cameras, while staying compatible with familiar PL/EF mounts and broadcast-style URSA accessories.
Frame rate flexibility runs from standard 23.98–60fps at full 12K through to 120fps windowed at 8K and 4K for slow motion, and the built-in four-position ND filter wheel (clear, 2, 4, 6-stop IR ND) means DoPs can control exposure without external filtration on location. Dual CFast 2.0 and dual SD UHS-II card slots give flexible media options for longer unattended recording blocks — useful on commercial, drama and high-end corporate shoots where card changes mid-take aren't an option.
