Webcast studio install at client HQ

We were tasked to design and install a permanent studio in a client’s offices for their sponsored virtual events. They required a set, lighting, audio, video and a flexible camera solution to allow for multiple use cases in the space. They wanted the ability to have people present their slides, and have panel discussions for a weekly webcasts, along with their staff being able to book the space out to facilitate their own important investor meetings or sponsored talks.

We designed a solution that utilised 3 x Sony FR7 hot head cameras, mounted Prolycht lighting and Sennheiser microphones on ceiling truss runs, along with Shure radio microphones. We created various recallable pre-set shots on the cameras to make operating their space simple and consistent for their in-house tech team to utilise.

All routing was set to allow mix minus audio return feeds of any remote participants, and pre-set return video feeds for the in-room screen to allow a combination of remote callers, current/next slide, time of day and a prompt system for scripts.

We installed graphics and video playback machines, along with a vMix machine to produce the broadcasts as streams, web meeting or SRT links.

Having this facility in place on site at their headquarters increased their ability to raise revenue with sponsored talks, whilst also increasing the production value of other meetings and event they wished to host from their studio. Along with of course the Kudos they received for having their own studio space at HQ!

If you’re hosting regular sponsored events, it may be worth considering a permanent studio space that you have 247 access to, to increase your potential revenue from those events, a sliding scale where the costs remain the same but income can grow exponentially with the more events you host, and also keeping you agile to respond to current affairs!
