Yamaha DM7 Digital Mixing Console — Dry Hire
The Yamaha DM7 is a compact console with large-format capability. It carries 120 mono input channels, 48 mix buses and a 12-bus matrix in a frame that two people can lift, which makes it a practical choice for shows where a full-size console will not fit the gallery, the truck or the budget.
For broadcast and hybrid work the important number is the Dante count: 144 channels in and 144 out. That is enough to take an entire stage box, feed a PPU, return programme audio and send separate mixes to remote contributors without running out of paths. Dual 12.1-inch touchscreens plus a 7-inch utility screen mean an operator can keep metering, EQ and the mix visible at once rather than paging between them.

The smaller DM7 Compact is also available: 72 input channels, 16 faders, one 12.1" touchscreen, 16 analogue in and out, the same 144 x 144 Dante, and 16.5kg in a frame that rack-mounts with the optional kit. Tell us the channel count and we will advise which frame suits the job.
Best for
Conference, awards and AGM audio where channel count is high but space is tight
Broadcast and webcast galleries needing clean feeds, mix-minus and separate remote sends
Outside broadcast and flypack systems where weight and footprint matter
Theatre, music and festival work on a Dante network
Houses of worship and venues wanting a console an in-house operator can learn quickly
DM7 or DM3?
If the show is smaller than this desk, say so and we will send the right one. The Yamaha DM3 is the 22-channel frame in the same family — sixteen analogue inputs, nine faders and a 9-inch screen, light enough for one person to carry. It covers single-room conferences, panels, webcast studios and small stages outright.
The DM7 earns its place when the input count runs past sixteen, when the show needs more mixes and matrices than a compact desk can offer, when Dante is carrying the whole infrastructure rather than a few channels, or when two operators need to work the same surface. Send us the channel list and we will tell you which desk the show actually needs.
